I’m Margot — passionate beekeeper and driven entrepreneur.

Nature has always been more than just a place of refuge for me; it’s a powerful source of strength and inspiration. Over the past few years, my passion for bees has shaped who I am and offered me deep, valuable insights. I proudly shared these through workshops and one-on-one beekeeping sessions. In May 2024, I followed my heart and took the leap into entrepreneurship. It was time to broaden my impact and bring my passion to life beyond small-scale sessions.

Bees are powerful teachers. They invite you to slow down, observe with intention, and be fully present in the moment. Beekeeping sharpens the senses and offers not only a glimpse into the fascinating world of the hive, but also into your own place within a greater whole. The connection I feel with nature and its ecosystems while beekeeping is something magical—something I deeply enjoy sharing with others.

With my background as a team coach and HR professional, I understand how vital a ‘healthy’ organizational culture is. A culture built on open communication, safety, and self-reflection leads to engaged teams and sustainable growth. When you invest in your team’s well-being, you don’t just boost motivation and satisfaction—you also strengthen your organization’s performance.

At Biesous, I bring together my love for bees and my expertise in people, community, and organizational development. I connect company culture and growth with the lessons we can learn from bees: collaboration, leadership, and the importance of balance within a team.

Experience

Experience as a beekeeper

In 2019, I started beekeeping as a hobby, but it quickly grew into a passion that I share with my partner Uther. Over three intense years, we learned the craft under the guidance of master beekeeper Antoon Rooryck and truly mastered the art of beekeeping.

Today, I give the traditional craft a modern twist. Sustainability and the well-being of bees—and other pollinators—are at the core of everything I do. I combine craftsmanship with contemporary insights to contribute to a healthy, thriving future.

Experience with people management

For three years, I worked as a socio-cultural worker at Voem, where I elevated my soft skills to a professional level. I led various projects in collaboration with colleagues, partners, artists, and volunteers. Following this period, I transitioned to the role of business coordinator, where I was responsible for crucial areas such as well-being, HR, strategy, finance, and policy development for four years.

My strength lies in the unique combination of strong people skills and strategic insight. I am convinced that a solid strategy is truly successful only when the well-being of people is at its core and a safe, supportive work environment is created. People are the heart of any sustainable growth.
